These terms and conditions govern your use of our services and our website. Please note that they can be changed at any point in time. By purchasing and using our services, and using our website, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you disagree with all or some of these terms, you will not be able work closely with Mind Resolve.
1. Age Requirements
All service users of Mind Resolve must be at least 18 years of age. Those under the age of 18 who have expressed an interest in therapy may be referred to the correct therapist or treatment. By using our services [and agreeing to our terms and conditions] you warrant and represent that you are at least 18 years of age or over.
All information which you disclose prior to your first session, within all your sessions and any written communication and reports pertaining to your sessions, are treated with utmost sensitivity and care.
If required, your therapist will seek your permission to liaise with your GP, or any other medical professional, to have access to your medical records pertaining your mental health, clinical diagnosis, or medication.
During your session notes may be taken by your therapist, these are purely for the therapists use to support the work in the session.
You have the right to obtain information during and after your therapy as set out by the Data Protection Act 2018.
All information disclosed by you will not be revealed to anyone without your written permission, expect where disclosure is required by law, if there is a significant risk of harm, or if there are concerns about the safety of a child or vulnerable adult.
There are some situations where Mind Resolve is required to disclose information without either your consent or authorization. These include, but are not limited to:
a) Court order for information about your psychotherapy if you are involved with litigation.
b) If you are placed under arrest or under investigation by the law.
c) Government agency requesting information for health oversight activities.
d) If a client files a complaint or lawsuit against a therapist, they may disclose information about that client in order to defend themselves.
e) Workers compensation claim requires disclosure to the insurer or third-party administrator.
f) Filling for an insurance claim requires Mind Resolve to reveal a client’s clinical diagnosis, other clinical information such as treatment plans, summaries, or copies of your entire clinical record.
g) If the client is a vulnerable adult, the parents or guardian have the right to information.
3. Attendance To Sessions
By using Mind Resolve you commit to attending your sessions and complete any tasks given to you by your therapist. Your sessions are to be taken seriously as it is a place which will help you to understand and better yourself. It is your responsibility to ensure that you attend them on a regular basis.
Please arrive on time to all of your appointments, if you are late, you will only receive the remaining time for that session.
Mind Resolve reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. If a client arrives under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or becomes abusive or aggressive before or during the session, we reserve the right to cancel sessions immediately.
Your therapist has the right to cancel an appointment at short notice. Although this is rare, as much notice will be given as possible. Your session will be re-booked at the next available appointment.
4. Missed Sessions
If you fall ill or have a valid reason for not attending your sessions within the duration of your therapy, you MUST contact your therapist and let them know.
Mind Resolve does not place sessions on hold under any circumstances, instead you will be re-referred at an appropriate time.
Should you stop attending them, all remaining sessions will be lost.
Mind Resolve does not accept late payments, neither do we offer payment installation plans. If you fail to make your payment, your session will be cancelled and rescheduled. Should you fail to make your payment on the date of your rescheduled session, you will lose all remaining sessions.
Mind Resolve offers a 10% discount off one session and a free bonus session, if you refer someone who could benefit from therapy.
6. Cancellations and Re-Scheduled Sessions
Mind Resolve does not accept last minute cancellations and rescheduled appointments. You must cancel and/or reschedule 2 days in advance by contacting your therapist.
We do not accept cancellations or re-scheduling 24 hours or 1 hour before attendance.
Mind Resolve offers a 10% discount off one session, and a free bonus session if you refer someone who could benefit from therapy.
You can only refer up to two people, but you will only receive this offer once and not per person.
To receive this offer, you must be an existing client and have not missed any sessions.
8. Litigation Limitation
The therapeutic service often involves making a full disclosure with regard to many matters which may be of a confidential nature. Should there be legal proceedings (divorce, custody disputes, injuries, lawsuits, etc), neither you, your legal representative and anyone acting on your behalf will contact our therapist to testify in court or any other proceeding.
9. Modifications To Services and Prices
Our services and prices can change without notice. Mind Resolve reserve the right to make modifications or discontinue a service(s) without notice at any time. We are not liable to you or any third-party for any modification, price change, or discontinuance of the service.
10. Harm to Self or Others
If your therapist becomes concerned about your personal safety and/or concerned about the possibility of you injuring someone else, or concerned about you receiving proper medical or psychiatric care, they will do whatever they can within the limits of the law, to prevent you from injuring yourself and others, and to ensure you receive the proper care.
For this purpose, the therapist may contact the police, hospital, or an emergency contact whose name you have provided. However, this is very rare and in any circumstances like this, your therapist will make every reasonable effort to discuss the situation with you first and limit the disclosure of what is necessary
These include, but are not limited to:
a) Suspected or known child abuse/neglect
b) Suspected or known elder abuse, neglect, exploitation or isolation
c) Risk of imminent serious harm to others
d) Risk of imminent serious harm to yourself.
11. Dual Relationships
If you happen to meet your therapist in some other capacity – for example, because you live and/or work locally, or you both know some of the same people – your therapist will not let it be known that you are their client.
Sexual and romantic involvement and emotional attachments between Mind Resolves therapists and clients are/will never be part of therapy process (and are strictly forbidden), as well as other actions or dual relationship situations that might impair your therapists objectivity, clinical judgement, or therapeutic effectiveness.
Therapists are forbidden to take on clients they know on a personal level (friends, relatives, and/or partners). If you have chosen to use our services because you know our therapist(s), you will be denied and/or referred to another therapist.
Mind Resolve does not tolerate discrimination of any kind. We do not judge our service users based on their background, race, gender, disabilities and sexual orientation and we expect the same from our service users.
If a client has picked a service purely for the sake of committing hate crimes against our therapist immediate action would be taken.
Should a therapist express verbal and/or physical hatred towards your race, background, gender, disability, or sexual orientation, you have the right to file a complaint.
13. Use of Website
You may view, download and print pages from the website for your personal use only, subject to (but not limited to) the following restrictions below.
You must not:
a) republish material from this website (including republication on another website).
b) sell, rent, or sublicense material from the website.
c) reproduce, duplicate, copy, or otherwise exploit material from our website for a commercial purpose.
d) use our website in any way that causes or may cause damage to the website, or in any way which
is unlawful, illegal, fraudulent, or harmful.
e) use our website to transmit or send unsolicited commercial communications.
f) use our website for any marketing purposes without our consent.
